Splits history into several rolling train→test folds and re-picks the best "streak exhaustion" setting fresh in each one, then tests that pick on the NEXT slice it never saw. A setting only counts as real if it beats no-filter in a clear majority of folds — not just one lucky slice — and each fold needs enough held-out trades to mean anything.
